I'm not sure it really matters anymore, this team is just broken, the coach refuses to put young guys in the lineup and even worse, veteran players make inexcusable mistakes and continue to get ice time, the goalie is burnt out yet continues to get starts.

It could be another interesting off-season in Calgary.

I can't see BT there if you miss the playoffs. Maybe Dutter as well. I think the team has enough talent and at least it is the last year of Lucic (it is right?????) so you have some $$ free up for more grit.. I know we joke about it alot but the Canuck factor of the players that you have must play a part. They outside of Toffoli have all failed to pull it together when it mattered most when they were with us so I just do not understand why the flames kept adding more. outside Tanev and Toffoli the rest you can do without.

Stecher in my opinion has played really well since he came on board and I was a fan of his when he played for the Canucks. It just has been a weird dysfunctional season for the Flames where guys haven't been on the same page, defensive breakdowns leading to goals against and really spotty goaltending. Would I be surprised if they came out tonight and beat the Jets? No I wouldn't be. I also wouldn't be surprised if the Jets beat them 6-2 tonight either.

Need some help and likely need to win out. Preds play the Jets on Saturday, but first they play Carolina tomorrow night.

So, a brief summary of the officiating in the 3rd period:

- Ref out of position behind the Flames net, puck caroms off his skate to a Preds player who scores
- Coleman takes a high sticking penalty (good call), draws blood, should have been 4 minutes, only 2 minutes
- Two cross-checks from behind (both by Nashville), one deep in the Flames zone that led to a great scoring chance, no call.
