Yeah, I guess they came to the conclusion that the head wasn't the principal point of contact, but it sure looked like Whitecloud elevated into that hit to me. Hope Knies is okay, he's off to a great start with the Leafs this season.
If millimeters are determining long term suspensions I’m at the point where just get rid of hitting.

None of it makes sense to anybody and they’re lying if they say it does.

Besides CTE isn’t real anyway according to Gary.

A better way of putting this, if 50% of the time a hit that looks like this and causes a head injury is a 5 game suspension and a match penalty but the other 50% of the time a hit looks like this it’s not even a penalty you’re just twisting yourself in knots to protect dangerous play. If it was really about protecting players from head injury any hit like this would be banned.

Might as well just allow all hits or ban them all. This dumb mushy middle makes no sense.

Only saw it a couple of times, but it looked like a good hit - shoulder to chest.

I can agree but also I don’t see much different in Reaves’ hit which was 5 games. Whole process just has me lost.
Reaves looed like he was picking the chin. Might not have meant to, but he did.
same with whoever took out Boeser.

agree it can be a fine line, but you are still allowed to blow someone up if you don't hit the head.

Jonathan Marchessault with a perfect infield fly and taps one home.

Not surprised. I gave a puck and a half and took the Leafs.

Actually this is on script for the Preds. They have scored first in 5 of the last 6. They have also lost 3 straight in OT by the same 3-2 score.

Bet accordingly

Make it 4 straight 3-2 losses, though they didn't get to OT last night. The Preds are in deep doo-doo.
Yes they are.

Outside of that fluke winning streak last year, this team has been underperforming throughout the Brunette tenure. That is 108 games and it’s fair to say the 18 game streak last year was an anomaly.

Under Hynes, the team was criticized for playing slow. Brunette was supposed to bring in a fast, uptempo approach. Well, they are still slow, and Hynes is successful in Minny. Hmmmmmmmm

Personally, I think Trotz deserves a good share of the blame. Without any real 1C, there isn’t much point in having Stamkos, Marchy or Forsberg. No one on this team can consistently create offence, except Josi. Too many nights the fourth line is the most effective.

Prediction. They lose tonight to Les Habitants. Maybe 3-2 :noidea:

On a happier note, Jankowski got his first last night
