There was no chance of Shanny being fired after they announced he was going to be at this presser.

With everything they just said I think Pelley just gave this management team two years to get this right.

I don’t think Shanahan should remain but I also think after keeping him last year (which was a mistake) they had to either commit to him now or fire both him and Treliving and they didn’t want to ditch Tre after just one season.

In short they’re late to everything and it’s cost them another season and might cost them a couple more. This is becoming a lost generation.

I think/hope for Leafs fans that he has learned from some bad free agent signings. Troy Brouwer being Exhibit 'A'.

The core four all make over ten mil and what team that could fit one of them legitimately (I mean theoretically Vegas can by putting their whole defense on LTIR) would give up the assets to do it? It seems most logical that Marner would go first because his contract expires first, but would anyone really give up assets for a year of likely sulking and his dad being a prick?

Saw some Toronto writer suggest Kent Johnson and 4OA for him. For a year of potentially Jeff Carter 2.0? Fuck no.
