What's with all this Leafs stuff trending on twitter did somebody say something offensive to April Reimer again?

I was watching the Sens-Habs game on and off and caught the end. They said "and now let's go to Toronto to see how the Marlies' zamboni driver is doing!".

I hadn't been following the story and had a few thoughts:

1) WTF?
2) A story about an AHL zamboni driver is not the least relevant Leafs story that HNIC/Sportsnet has aired, but it's top 10 in that category.
3) Canadian sports media has become self-aware and is parodying itself.

Little did I know that the truth was so much better than any of my confused, wine-fuelled delusions.
