Now the 5 years for Korpisalo is beyond questionable. I can't wait for new ownership to fire Dorion and Smith. If those firings are straight into the sun then so much the better.

The obviously funny thing of these three comps is the only one that doesn’t look particularly great is also a Dorion Sens deal.



Sanderson will probably be very good but also everyone said that about Chabot and while he isn’t exactly bad and has played on some bum teams he isn’t in the stratosphere of those other two guys and probably overpaid by a couple mil three years into his deal.

Also, Sanderson’s deal won’t be as big a hit % wise on the cap either now or in the near future when it jumps.

i walked up to the ticket counter, asked "any deals?"
"Nope, full price".
"You're kidding, right?"
"Nope, full price"

20 minutes later got some lower bowl seats for below 50% of face value off of Craigslist

That's interesting because some in Oilers media as well as fans thought Staios was going to join Edmonton in a similar capacity.

He was a special advisor to the Coil last year I believe. And yeah, if Andlauer hadn't gotten a franchise he would probably be tagged for a role high up in Edmonton's front office.

I'm stoked for my team to finally be working towards a proper structure for hockey ops. I think Staios will be good in his role but I would have basically taken anyone who has the power to take the keys from Pierre Dorion.
