Ok, now that the protected lists are coming out, who is the biggest plug being protected?

The Ducks protected Jeff Delauiers, a 4th line enforcer is our early clubhouse leader.

Zack Kassian is charging strong on the back nine.

Actually looking forward to an NHL season for the first time in awhile.

I can't wait until the Victoria Clipper starts up again as I am envisioning some trips down to Seattle for Flames - Kraken action at the Krakhouse er Climate Pledge Arena.

Oh, now you're concerned about cap circumvention. My question is are there any actual rules being broken if this were to go down?

Not a bad potential start lol

I am given to understand that Max Domi is now the cornerstone piece that we are going to RUE THE DAY we lose. Seattle future HoFer for sure.

I don't really think it's likely that we do lose him.
Johnson seems like the most logical choice.

If i was Seattle, I would grab Subban. Not for his on-ice performance, but he is incredibly marketable. He would be a great first "face of the franchise". He would certainly not shy away from every morning TV or radio show for months in Seattle.

Plus he will immediately get involved with the local children's hospital.

To hear Jackets fans talk, it's Eric Robinson. Jackets fans also loved Jared Boll, so...

I thought I had read somewhere that players selected were not able to be traded for one year back to their original team but I can't find it right now.

I honestly hope the Kraken don't take Price. Not that he isn't good, but he's getting up there in age and it sounds like they're already gonna sign Driedger from Florida.

Cap friendly has a calculator/simulator thingie.

Here's my attempt:

Kept it under the cap and gives a lot of flexibility in case season one is a disaster. Top line of Tarasenko - Johansen - Voracek could be fun to watch. Expensive, but fun.

They cane be traded back, but not with any retained salary

I was making this point in the Seahawks board.

Do you want Price, who IMO is the second best goalie (Next to mega pads) in the NHL right now, with Injury Cloud and knowing you owe him 11 Million BEFORE HE TOUCHES THE ICE.

Or

Cheaper alternative who don't have said issues,

This is the wishful thinking of every single Devils fan right now but $9 million for a guy that is at best a second pairing defenseman at this point is a tough pill to swallow.
