Would have allowed them to get the arena finished on time at least. It makes sense for Seattle to start play in the 2021 season in order to avoid the lockout that will delay the start of the 2020 season.
I read that because AZ doesn't do daylight savings, they will wind up having division games (including playoff games) that start at 5pm local time.
So do we think the NHL holds steady at 32 for a while, or is the prospect of another $650M+ in expansion fees getting the owners too excited already?

I think Gary's finally given up and is trying to nudge ownership to move them to Houston. That is just absurd.
I’ve wondered that too. Might give them a boost because people will be into hockey and they’re a way more affordable (and available) night out. On the other hand, the loyal fans they have will now have an NHL team to put their time and money towards.I wonder how much of an impact this will have on the Everett Silvertips and Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL - Certainly a different price point as far as tickets are concerned.
Since we got Vegas last time I was really hoping for another resort location. No desire to go to seattle
I know people can't make it all the way to Glendale by 7, but maybe to their couches by 5 is OK?I read that because AZ doesn't do daylight savings, they will wind up having division games (including playoff games) that start at 5pm local time.

I don't find Sea Lions offensive, but the others all suck something fierce.^ I hate all of those names.
"Seattle is proud to select, from the Pittsburgh Penguins, Matt Murray!"
