Sockeyes - my personal favorite, only for the obvious sockpuppet marketing ops. But i don't like salmon, so no
Totems - not PC
Whale - besides being singular which is dumb, wont it confuse people since the team up the road has a whale on their uni??

So it will come down to Kraken or Emeralds. Since we already have Sharks and Ducks on the west coast, Kraken would make sense.

So it will be Emeralds.

Yeah, names get pushback when they're just general "Indians" or "Redskins" represented with a caricature. And native culture has always been a part of main stream culture in the PNW. There's a high school in the area with the Totems mascot ffs.
