lol…. Only the Pirates

Isn't this the third time this has happened to them? I recall Lonnie Chisenhall being signed as a free agent and never playing a game and a catcher I think that came from the Blue Jays with the last name of Maile who was acquired injured and never played a game with Pittsburgh.

Seems to be their norm. He is out 6-8 weeks and will bleed into the regular season. Gee the "solution" at first base is already in Operation Shut down before he played a game.

Another pirate tidbit, the last time the Pirates signed a FA to a multi-year contract was Ivan Nova in 2016. :L

My sister is flying down to Bradenton with their 8-year-old and I may just drive down and see them, but I don't think I'll be attending the game.

Looking at that lineup made me wonder where is Henry Davis? Is it too soon to label him as a bust?

Granted it is a super small sample size but look who is the worst out of all the players that have major league playing time from that draft.

THIS will get them over the top for the playoffs.

Makes you wonder why the make these trades, I don't see this changing the needle for either of their careers.

Jesus, that is truly an insane stat.

The Nats have multiple FAs who have signed multi-year deals, won a World Series, and RETIRED since then.
