12 shots on goal for Evan Rodrigues. That ties the Penguins record.

Empty Net is as good a goalie as DeSmith.

Though admittedly I didn’t see the second goal. Was it soft?
Not really the defense was bad in front of him.

You are right DeSmith wasn’t the problem but this makes me wonder how much Jarry has been making the defense look good vs them actually playing better?

And go figure we question where Crosby’s game is right now and naturally goes out and has a 3pt night.

I tried to look up the Pens listed franchise value, but every site with the full Forbes or Sportico list is behind a paywall.

I don't think I remember them being valued that high.

I mean, I guess that's why Bettman has lasted as long as he has, he's made the owners plenty of money during his tenure. He's been mediocre to a downright embarrassment in many other departments.

Found it. Valued at $650mm in 2020. And it has not been increasing significantly where they are.

That’s a lot but does it include the arena?

It shouldn't since Pittsburgh SEA are the owners of the Arena.

I think the Penguins get some money from revenues but honestly not 100% sure.

But that asking price is very high, I don't see how the Penguins could be worth that much.

I saw somewhere that they maybe still own the old Igloo land and that might’ve been included.

But yeah, if that’s what a mid-market NHL franchise has grown to in value a lot of owners are very happy today like Dash said.

My biggest concern with valuing the Penguins that high is this just screams another league shut down. The Penguins as a franchise, yes have been successful, but they are a few seasons away from being the Milan Kraft era team. When they suck that arena will be barren with no revenues coming in.

The Lemieux group has been developing that land for the past 10 years or so. Jackshit has been done.

I mean they made a parking lot. :noidea:

Seriously the history of that land and how the old Civic Arena was made is totally shady so why break tradition now.

ZAR and POJ will not let that happen.
