Looks like Skenes won't be a Pirate for long.

Olivia and Paul, we're sorry.

He is good as gone. Jones isn't sticking around long either and same with Cruz. As long as Shelton is their manager and Nutting is the owner none of these young players with talent will want this hot mess. Reynolds also has an affordable contract so we can kiss him good bye next year also.

Rinse and repeat.

BBB’s post in the Vancouver thread reminded me of this.

“Earlier this season, the Penguins’ new ownership group told Hextall they wanted to see his vision for the team in writing." Yohe wrote. "Hextall, a creature of habit and in the middle of regular-season responsibilities, initially explained that his plan for the Penguins’ future was in his head and not easily articulated by the written word.

"He was told to write his vision for the Penguins’ future anyway."

I have a concept of a plan in my head lol

This is pretty much every "Hockey Guy" GM though, right?

Which begs the question as we continue heading down the road of analytically-inclined ownership and POHO's, how much longer do people like Hextall have left in such roles before every GM is just Jonah Hill in Moneyball?

Brad Treliving's favorite phrase is "Trust the process"

What was the process used to sign Huby to that contract, Brad?
"Everything is on the table", 5 days after the Leafs' first round exit.

Weeks away from the new season and the team is basically the exact same lol
