Distinct lack of giant Jeeps in that video. For @forty_three this might cause some PSTD.
And yes everyone in the left lane will go to the right and all in the right lane need to go to the left while on the bridge.

Pittsburgh did great job re-branding themselves as a business/education center when the steel industry started to suffer in the 80's. They handled it better than places like Cleveland did. I had been to Pitt a lot in the late 80s and early 90s and is was kinda dumpy. But, other than the roads, it's pretty nice now, in the downtown core especially.I'm truly curious because back in the 70's Pittsburgh had this reputation as a dirty and not very picturesque city, but most of the pictures I've seen of the city make it look pretty attractive (at least in my eyes). Full disclosure, I have never been to Pittsburgh and am basing this off articles I've read. Some of the shots I've seen of the skyline/bridges look pretty fine to me.
It has come a long way in the last 40 years. It did take forever to develop around the riverfronts. I think the true turning point is way back in the 90's it was labeled the most livable city and they ran with that.I'm truly curious because back in the 70's Pittsburgh had this reputation as a dirty and not very picturesque city, but most of the pictures I've seen of the city make it look pretty attractive (at least in my eyes). Sorry mine was being inspectedDistinct lack of giant Jeeps in that video.
And in normal PA racket did it cost you hundreds of dollars for unneeded repairs you had to get to pass the inspection?Sorry mine was being inspected
Our inspections are absolutely ridiculous. And in normal PA racket did it cost you hundreds of dollars for unneeded repairs you had to get to pass the inspection?

My favorite was years ago I had a reverse light bulb out. A .99 bulb that all I needed to do was remove 2 screws to get at it.
I figured hell, I’m not bringing my car back. Let them replace it, how much could it cost me. $55 fucking dollars.
IIRC was $15 for the bulb and $40 for a 1/2 hour labor
Same sort of thing. Failed inspection because the license plate bulb was burned out. They were going to charge me more than it would to fail the inspection, and get it redone. Our inspections are absolutely ridiculous.

Unbelievable how we get screwed. I do realize the above story was my own fault for not checking bulbs like that out for myself before I went but come on.Same sort of thing. So I let them fail the inspection, did the repair and took it elsewhere.
And yes it was another Kenny Ross lot in West Mifflin.
Oh same here. I get it is one stupid little bulb and honestly never thought about it.Unbelievable how we get screwed. I do realize the above story was my own fault for not checking bulbs like that out for myself before I went but come on.
The air filter scam gets me too. We can replace your air filter (that you can by at any auto parts store for $15, unhook the cover and slide the new one in yourself) for the low cost of $79
Don't be fooled. It's still a dirty old town that you remember from the 70s. No reason to move there or visit. We gotta keep up appearances. It has come a long way in the last 40 years. It did take forever to develop around the riverfronts. I think the true turning point is way back in the 90's it was labeled the most livable city and they ran with that.
But as a kid, I remember, when you used to come into the city, especially from the east through the squirrel hill tunnel it was littered with steel mills and along the riverfront.
Yes it was a very dirty city with very distinct local neighborhoods that you never crossed. Now those neighborhoods still exist but they really are branding them as places to go and hang out.
And with the whole "clean-up" was not all in good faith. The lower Hill district where the old Melon/Civic Arena was, essentially demo'ed a large African American neighborhood. Lower Wylie ave now is essentially a parking lot with some homes/apartments that are not "low rent".
I mean as @forty_three will attest the roads flat out suck and that will never change.Don't be fooled. It's still a dirty old town that you remember from the 70s. No reason to move there or visit. We gotta keep up appearances.
I went there in 2009 (right after the Steelers won the SB) and while I was pretty drunk I thought the Ben Franklin Bridge was nice and the Capitol building really shines in the sun bouncing off the lake. Also had a top notch monorail/people mover system.I'm truly curious because back in the 70's Pittsburgh had this reputation as a dirty and not very picturesque city, but most of the pictures I've seen of the city make it look pretty attractive (at least in my eyes).
