Before Tarasov decided to start playing, I would have accepted Gibson here. With what Backstrom has done with all our guys, I think Gibson could rebound decently. But he's not a #1 on a lot of teams.

Also, re Edmonton media, I was watching this podcast and they were discussing the Canadian forward lines for the Four Nations Face-Off and I kidy yu not, the first thing they said was "Why don't they put McDavid and MacKinnon on the same line?"

I yelled at my tv "This is not the Oilers where the only two forwards that can score are McDavid and Draisaitl, you morons".

Ducks should trade Gibson now as his numbers in a straight platoon are far better than as a number one. Gibson has plenty of experience with shit D in front of him and tends to mail it in - only problem is oilers can score enough to counteract that.

I’d say a first and evander Kane should work out nicely.
