4th team in 4 years certainly raises some flags. I already see some Oilers fans are putting him in the top 6.

I believe it, he is best fit in a top 6 role. If he can't score consistently and doesn't improve his defensive play there is no use for him.
Probably why Edmonton was the best fit for him. He can focus on that role most likely with Draisaitl.

Edmonton was a bad defensive team last year so they went out and got much worse defensively both at the blue line and, if Kahun is actually going to play top 6, up front as well. Given that Mike Smith is already not good and a year older I'm going to say they got worse there, too.

I really think the plan is to try to outscore the opposition - They did have a very good PP last season, but they were pretty terrible 5-on-5. Somebody posted some stats about how bad defensively McDavid and Draisaitl have been, I'll try to find it.

I follow J and he does good work but I think this is one of those situations where the fancy stats leave a lot to be desired.

That said, it's unignorable that there is a defensive gulf on that team and if those two aren't outplaying it they fail.
