This thread just gives and give and gives...

Oilers had a 2-on-none in the entire offensive zone last night... and didn't record a shot. :L

Not only did they not get a shot on goal, I don't think they got even an attempted shot. That's gonna hurt the Corsi right there.

I love the instant karma shot Purcell takes after such a bad pass from only 4 feet away. You can almost here the "you dumbass" as he is hit.

I'm glad they still kept the Isles from winning and that Hendricks got two goals. Love that guy!

While on analytics topic, sources say #Oilers guy Tyler Dellow returned to TO after Eakins firing and is unlikely to be used any more

So much for the Oilers winning the Corsi Cup.

This ad appeared in the Edmonton Sun yesterday as a rebuttal to the "Kevin Lowe Must Go" ad this was in the Sun prior to Christmas:

So are we supposed to start referring to Lowe as One Who Bleeds Oiler Blue?

Or should we just jump straight to Voldemort?

Edmonton has won 10 of their 45 games this season - Wow, that stinks!

Last night's loss made it 14 consecutive road losses - It reminds me of the old Harry Neale line - "We couldn't win at home and we couldn't win on the road. My failure as a coach is that I couldn't think of another place to play."

Shouldn't a competent GM know how many draft picks he has in each round?

“It’s an extremely important draft. The primary focal point of our organization right now is in preparation for this upcoming draft. We now have Pittsburgh’s first-round pick. We have two first round picks. We’re going to get an early pick in the second round so that’s going to be a pick that we’ve got to utilize very well. And then we’ve got two third-round draft choices. It’s essential that we do very well at this year’s draft.”

Um Craig, you traded a third round pick for Viktor Fasth and previously received a 3rd round pick when you traded Hemsky. According to my calculations, that's a total of one 3rd round draft pick.

He forgot that the trade of Jordan Eberle to Detroit for a third round pick and Jonas Gustavsson hasn't been announced yet.
