Did Katz send Lonely Planet a wad of cash?

These lists are always either paid for or incredibly eccentric. One of these lists last week listed Haida Gwai/Queen Charlottes and, while I’m sure much of it is as beautiful as anything in BC (I did the fishing lodge at Langara couple years ago and it was indeed quite nice) the logistics of getting there/exploring it intensely are pretty insane.

Imagine paying a guy 14 million per season and he still has to play with McDavid because he can't drive his own line.

AND he has set the price for McDavid's contract at what.... 16?

if they keep them both, we are going to see a second line of Rico Fata and Hnat Dominicelli.
not they modern day equivalents, but they actual guys.

I'm glad it's happening... Price themselves out of real support players .. playoffs will be different for the Oilers this year .. if they even make it

Oh, I'm pretty sure they will make the playoffs, but everything that could go right last season did go right for them.

Did a 12 year old post this?

I will say it until I am blue in the face. If Mr "EVERYTHING YOU GOT" wasn't already looking to dive to get a call, he would have finished the game.

The trip was irrelevant.

I mean, even if we say it wasn't a dive, it's hockey and tripping happens practically every game. McDavid has been tripped countless times during his career, it just happened to end with a bad result this time.

2-3 weeks is just enough for them to dig a nice hole for themselves.

They managed to dig themselves out last season, but I have a feeling it's going to be tough to repeat. They need more diggers and shovels :D

How many more of Connor's Junior coaches could they possibly hire?

Good news is, Kane is ahead of schedule (early 2025)
Better news is, they can't afford him, and the sooner he is healthy, to more salary they will need to shed to fit him under the cap.
