Nothing has really changed, though. As the wonder twins go, so go the fortunes of the Oilers. The trouble is once they hit the playoffs (if they make it this season), they will obviously face stiffer competition and less penalties are called. They're still not very good 5-on-5.

I see that Connor McDavid was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame yesterday - I have no doubt that eventually this was going to happen, but this seems rushed to me. Barring injury, he likely will play another 10 to 12 years in the league, surely this could have waited until he hung up his skates.
