i looked at some of mark spectors early tweets on Schultz and there are some overhyping gems but, to be fair :bolt: ... after his 3rd nhl game, spector compared schultz to mike komisarek so full marks to spec lol

All this time, I never knew the Katz group was Calgary based. I know Daryl Katz spends most of his time in Vancouver, does he have any real ties to Edmonton?

By the way, a buddy of mine has a friend who is a Oilers season ticket holder. Season tickets increased 10% last year and are going up 22% for the first season in a new arena.

Yes, he owns a hockey team there.

Well, they're supposedly a hockey team.

Not funny in the least...

Brandon Manning has put the death threats behind him.

The Flyers defenseman said he received the threats after he collided with Edmonton's Connor McDavid on Nov. 3, and the Oilers' hotshot rookie suffered a broken collarbone on the play.

"There was stuff on Twitter and everything, all kinds of threats," Manning, whose Flyers will host McDavid and the Oilers on Thursday, said after Wednesday's practice in Voorhees.

"Canadian fans are passionate, and I don't think it would be any different with Flyers fans if they saw that one of our guys went down like that. So it wasn't a big deal to me."

He shrugged them off.

Not funny at all, but not really a big deal or a "threat" either.

Also, I would love to see what would come from the mouths/fingertips of Flyers fans if something like that happened to a player of theirs lol

I'd rather not think about it after having been inexcusably swept by this cancer of a team from Edmonton.

I hope they get the top overall pick again and then suck for all eternity.

5 Cups in 7 years.

5 #1 picks in 7 years.

No more Cups.

It only makes sense.

I missed this gem the other night - Can you guess who led the Oilers in ice time last game against the Sharks? If you guessed McDavid, sorry not him. Sekera, nope that's not correct.

Adam 'Freaking' Pardy followed closely by Adam Clendening. Waiver wire pickups are leading the Oil in ice time. Is it any wonder this team continues to struggle?
