He and his family really like it here, so it stands to reason he was more interested in longevity than money (it's also relatively cheap to live here). I think if they wanted a shorter term, he would have wanted too much AAV to make it make sense. They gave him the term that didn't mess up how easily they could buy it out later. It's also front loaded but has a ten team NTC.

Good to see, my program has a great relationship with this program. They are lucky to have 50-60 kids come out for tryouts every year, and we usually wind up with the kids who have been cut from their team. We work really close with their coaching staff and help develop the bubble kids so they make the team next time (David Clarkson was head coach there for a bit, and another one of their coaches' kid played four years for us.). We've never had a kid fail to make that team after playing with us, and five of our former players were on the ice today. Four more were in the stands as they are on their JV team.
