He and his family really like it here, so it stands to reason he was more interested in longevity than money (it's also relatively cheap to live here). I think if they wanted a shorter term, he would have wanted too much AAV to make it make sense. They gave him the term that didn't mess up how easily they could buy it out later. It's also front loaded but has a ten team NTC.Sadly it could have been avoided by not giving him that long of a term.
Maybe they are counting on some LTIR trips down the road?
