I read that Jimothy Timothy did not hit the ice in OT. That's sending some kind of message.

Sharks replaced 0.789, and got 0.750.
Poor dude got tagged with the L as well.
Korpi gave up 4 on 8 shots, got pulled and Elvis gave up 3 more on 15. Korpi got put back in and the Jackets managed to score 4 which dropped the L on Elvis. Korpi gave up 6 of the 9 GA and got no decision.

similarly, Spencer Martin has given up 9 in his last two games, and is 1-0-0

Considering that’s RNH’s deal that was signed a year before and they’re pretty similar stats-wise before this season that isn’t exactly egregious.

He’s hardly the first guy to have a career year in his UFA season, either.

People will pounce on that now but most GM’s would’ve made the same opening offer no?

Obviously the numbers he's put up this season skew things significantly, but I would have thought the first offer would have started with a '6'.

he also said that he spoke to several teams and one said they would pay horvat starting at $9M. I think that is agent agenda at pushing it through the league to try to get Horvat signed or moved

If you think this season's Horvat is the one you can get for 3-4 years then $9m isn't inconceivable.

You're also taking a gigantic gamble.

I’d give Bo a one year $10 million contract a la Hossa - kind of a hired gun type.

If that is what it takes to sign him then move him now.

Petey is more priority to me than horvat. fucking Millers contract (not his fault) is as crippling as OELs right now #thankyoujims

I WAS HACKED

I was willing to go like 6.75 - 7.5 even after Gaudreau. Now with a legit chance to have a franchise changing 1C in the next draft and everyone but Brad Larsen seeing what Kent Johnson is capable of I don't know how much I still want it to happen. That desire goes to almost nil at 9m. He could be a 9m #3C in 3 years. Ouch.

If we had him all along we're in a lot better place than right now, but this year is lost so not much point now.

I would be terrified if he signed more than $7.5M as a Canuck

I would be terrified only because of this.... I long for the days of no cap lol
