OK he worked there for 16 years before going to Van so I guess he was just after those drafts. Honestly thought he was with JR in Carolina before.
Rebuilds get pretty easy when you get 1OA, 2OA, and 1OA in three straight years. Even one 1OA is a good start on a rebuild (Edmonton need not apply)

I guess it depends if it is a realization they just had during this stretch then it makes sense. but if they felt this going into the summer then they made even dumber decisions than before.

I think they didnt want to make a bold contrarian move because they feared the public reaction which is very soft of them

Everyone was all about the bruce-there-it-is-travis-green-cant-coach shit when demkos crazy numbers showed his ascendancy was the true reason things turned around last year. Bold would have been trading miller at his peak value for d help or a high draft pick. Maybe even bringing Tocchet in to coach … just to make oel waive his no trade lol
