Which is too bad because I can’t imagine there’s been a year where draft picks carry less value. Honestly excited to see how the hell they scout for this draft.

/flip side, GM’s know this and likely are devaluing picks too so you won’t be able to get much anyway.

I agree. maybe I should rephrase and state Benning just isnt smart enough to fix this. Im not saying he is dumb dumb but I dont think he is saavy enough a GM to fix the issues here with the big contracts currently and soon coming.

Well, the Habs went through two rebuilds with Bergevin, watched him make some pretty dumb trades and watched him produce jack shit worth of value out of the draft for 8 years but today Montreal is the toast of the town and the TSN crowd are saying he's a "slam dunk" for the Lou Lamoriello GM of the Year award because they've beaten up terrible opposition for three weeks. Wait a couple of years with Jimbo and that can be the Canucks maybe!
