From the SN article about him:

Tryamkin is a graduate of the Spartakovets Hockey Academy, the same school that boasts graduates Alexei Yashin and Nikolai Khabibulin.

Good company if I've ever seen it!

looking at the youtube vids of Tryamkin for this year ... because of the big ice and his great skating ability he doesnt even look big  didnt look like he played very big either :pout:
I saw him play in Malmö.
Dude is huge. A few solid hits, biggest thing was he could get anywhere in one stride.

So he'll end up wearing a turtleneck under his hockey jersey and eventually get busted for extreme DUI?

And, farther down the road, sign a massive contract with the Islanders and get bought out and get paid until 2047.

gotta love Hutton

"He didn't know much english last time he was here.
It was interesting talking, just wanted him to know I'm a friend!" - Hutton, on Tryamkin

was worried the media/fans expectation of this dude would be bit much
good to see he's got his own lofty goals.

Tryamkin through his translator -
"Everyone compares me to Chara, and I have no idea why. I want to be better than him.

pronunciation alert: it's just "Tram-kin"

One more year of Miller and Markstrom? Or try to trade Miller in the last year of his deal (like should have happened with Hamhuis and Vrbata).

Demko definitely looks to be the real deal.

Hindsight
They should have traded miller before this season when they had an offer for him
Doubling down on the hindsight
They should have never signed miller
:noidea:

more hindsight - how good would the offers have been last summer on a 30+ goal scorer
rather than a petulant 4th liner on an expiring contract?
