I'm thinking Corrado and Gardiner might just be the perfect complimentary players for each other. Well done, Uncle Lou.

I removed it, but I'm still kinda curious - Nick Spaling is just a 2 year older version of Panik, and Panik seemed to be a decent 4th line option that could continue to grow.

Oh well.

I think there still might be a little more upside there with Panik too. Oh well.

I don't think that Panik is Gretzky or anything, but this should have been Harrington.
They'd never cut Harrington after just getting him for Kessel.

Harrington might miss games now because of this, though. I also heard Babcock was kind of impressed with him during the Preseason? I wasn't seeing it.

Ive seen some people say that Benning could have sent Hutton down ... kept Corrado up ... LTIR'ed Chris Higgins ... and then immediately called up Ben Hutton :ohwell:

similar to what cap guru Gilman did to start 2011

they fired Gilman :L

not enough facepalms so i wont even bother

All that 3rd and 4th line depth I was telling you about yesterday pushed him out

How bad did things have to be in Vancouver for him to be jumping for joy at moving to the Leafs?

meh thats dumb ... hes going home and his nonna can go to his games now ... she probably made him a plate of gnocchi after he told her the good news

Well, the so-called experts at TSN are predicting the Canucks to finish 6th in the Pacific Division this season (yes, the Oilers will finish ahead of Vancouver according to the pundits).

dont get me wrong things arent good in vancouver ... but to say things were bad FOR Corrado is just plain stupid ... He was pencilled in for a roster spot in the summer and he lost it because of his preseason play :noidea:

Which I find funny because they have the Oilers listed near the bottom in their power rankings.

I don't think he played badly, Hutton just played great.

It could be that he's happy for a roster spot, especially in his RFA year.

But if that's the case, this combined with the twitter desc. thing sure makes it seem like he's bitter on the way out.

Anyway, I'm sure he'll take the family out for a nice dinner at Oca Nera tonight to prepare him for his Norris-winning season.
