Seems like there's some meat to the Petterson/Blue Jackets rumors. The Reddit trade suggestions are hilarious. One guy said the trade talks START with KJ and Fantilli. No, jackass. That's where the discussion ends.

Provorov would definitely be part, but his pending UFAness hurts his overall value. Jordan Harris/Corson Ceulemans as filler. We have 2 firsts, but not sure one of them is enough to get there. Depends on how bad Vancouver is striking out finding a partner. We shouldn't have to ask to retain, so that helps. And without retention it would be hard to pry Sillinger out of my hands. Although LDBB has impressed me, so maybe Sillinger is expendable.

Still nowhere near what Vancouver fans would be looking for.

I'm not 100% convinced Petey is the guy the Jackets should be chasing. I mean, I like him, think he would rebound a bit and know there's ridiculous talent there. But a natural C is not where we're thin right now. In 3 years we'll have Monny, Fantilli, Sillinger and Lindstrom. LDBB and KJ can play C also. As such, I'm not willing to empty the chamber on EP40. I just don't think we'd offer enough.

Rantanen and Ehlers are the two I would most like to chase. And maybe Ekblad.

It seems like JR and Allvin don't really think much about Boeser to be honest (or to put it another way, they don't want to sign him to a long term deal). The question is do they move him at the trade deadline or keep him and lose him for nothing?!?
