Biggest game of the season without question. While a top three seed looks very likely for us, it is definitely not set in stone. It will be with a regulation win in this game. On the flip side, losing this game in regulation combined with the following game at Boston puts us in real danger of slipping to a wild card position. We do not want that to happen as Detroit could pass us and we'd end up playing Boston in round one.

Wow from looking at the previous outcomes between these two teams this year its safe to say whoever scores 5 goals will win!

While neither of our goalies have fared well against the Jackets this season, Emery is 0-2 with a 5.14 gaa and .851 sv %, so I'm glad he's sitting this one out.

:agree:

Was confusing the Jackets with the Jets some times, and thinking we'd need at least 7 goals to be in it.

They need to play disciplined.defence minded hockey, and stray away from the Saturday night beer league pick up shit they tend to play against them.

Agreed - keep some of the good defensive habits they built in that game against St. Louis and they'll have a good chance to win

IMO the best outcome is the Flyers win in ot so we get 2 points but the Jackets still get one and can hopefully catch and surpass the Rags(however they're 7 points Bach with 2 games in hand). I still believe we'll be the 2 seed and I'd rather play the Jackets then Rags. I'd really welcome a nice losing streak from the Rags now just to avoid having to play at MSG all together.

Any way you look at it the Jackets are a good team and this should be another good test and change to not only get back in the win column but practice all the little things they need to do to make a deep run.

This is some serious wishful thinking on your part. In order for Columbus to pass the NYR while only getting a point against us, they'd have to go 5-0-1 in their last six, then hope the Rangers go 2-3 or worse. It's almost impossible.

I'd rather beat them in regulation and not stay at risk of dropping to a wild card position. If we were to lose tonight and then again on saturday, come sunday we could potentially be at risk to drop to the second wild card position. It's very unlikely, but that would be a complete disaster.

To me, it's just about set in stone that we're playing the Rangers in round one, so we might as well try to win out and get home ice. They are without McDonagh now for awhile, so maybe they will slide, but not out of the top three.

I was actually hoping the Rags go 0-5 to end the season. I know the is basically impossible but it would be the best possible scenario to set the Flyers up for a deep run.

We just need to get home ice advantage now.

We gotta win this game tonight boys and I believe we will. The B Jackets have a little injury bug going. Let's take it one game at a time. Big 2 points tonight.

With the way Berube keeps us on our toes about who the starting goalie is i wouldnt be suprised to see Emery in net tonight.

I'd be more surprised tonight than I'd say maybe on Saturday in Boston

Abso-freaking-lutely need this win.

1) To stay ahead of Columbus
2) To keep pace with the Rangers
3) To keep my insane dream of us winning the division alive (Flyers need to win out in reg/overtime, Pens need to lose out in regulation)
