Colts are for real

The biggest change with the Colts is the coaching and the o-line play. Some good draft picks on the line have made a big difference. Frank Reich is also a good offensive coach who has kept Luck out of harm's way with crisp short and intermediate passing, and a strong emphasis on the run. We miss Reich tremendously in Philly right now.

Which is basically what I've been saying (and why I don't care about his low yards/attempt) all along. That old-school 7 step drop offense that Luck was running was equally part to the QB's destruction - along with some hard-headed decisions to take on tacklers - and sooner or later, the weight he was asked to carry would be too much.

It's also why I cringe when I hear that Arians wants back in with Cleveland....if he brings that offense of his, it's probably only a matter of time when Mayfield gets rolled into the dirt.

I still don't think the defense is elite, but it helps when you have the leading tackler in the NFL in Leonard, who looks like the next Derrick Brooks, and a running game that keeps your D off the field.

I would say the Colts are a year away. They still have issues on both sides of the ball, imo. For all the luck love, their passing game is producing a 7.1 YPA. For a team QB'd by Luck, that's bad.

Yea, but their defense is very good and the gave a great o-line. They are capable of beating any team.

I have a friend from KC up here in Seattle, we were just talking about next weeks game, he's confident, KC does have that dynamic offense, but the Colts right now are playing very balanced football all around...
