Looks like RNH and Larsson off the board with the first 2 picks, however I really don't klnow who Florida will take at 3. I want to say Landeskog but for some reason he doesn't strike me as a good fit there. I could see them going with a center with that pick.

i won't be dissappointed if we take landeskog at all. ill look at it as out with old attitudes like langs and in w new like landeskog who is repeatedly advertised as a born leader.

however i would have liked to have satisfied a need first. who know. maybe we somewow trade up?

would you trade urbom and the 4 for the 2 if you had the chance?

No way. I'm not as high on Larsson as you guys seem to be. I don't think there is that much of a difference talent wise between the top 5 or so picks so I don't see a need to trade up. Maybe it's just paranoia but I really get the sense Lou will trade this pick.

I wouldn't do urbom and 4 for 2. The difference between the players are not that much.

I would however do Corrente and 4 for 2 if it was a possibility.

and yeah i have no idea what colorado was thinking here. either they're going to continue blowing that ship up as they did to get johnson (which i liked the idea but getting rid of stewart and shattenkirk to do it was just plain fucking dumb)
or they really don't get along w liles. i have no idea why they would do this trade. he was one of very few bright spots for them this year.

I thought the exact same thing now A.L won't be there for sure... I hope FLA leaves Lanskog alone.

well don't forget huberdeau also plays center. so there is some good versatility there.

but yes the rise so fast does make one have to wonder how the hell one can juice up there stock as fast as he did. not even most mem cup mvps can do that like he did.

exactly..he put these numbers up playing LW...i have a feeling he will be playing LW and not center if gets drafted.

i like ladeskog if he can play RW like some people say. but other then that i want coutiurer he was at one time the top prospect and didnt fall off that much only knock on him is skating? he can still put up points

thing that alarms me out of larrson is he doesnt put up great offensive numbers. i dont see him being a #1 guy. everyone is going to think when he laces up in nj finally he will be putting up 15 goals 50 assists. i dont think that will happen

well don't forget w/ larsson he's playing in a mans league, not junior like the rest.

at the wjc i believe he averaged just under a pt per game.

and don't worry, landeskog is definately capable of both wings, most sites actually list him as a rw

Larsson put up good numbers last year and did well in the WJC.

Even if you dont want to call him a #1 D man he's still gonna be playing 24 minutes or so a night. He's the type of guy that only shows up maybe once every 3 years. The guy should have been without a doubt the #1 pick. Hopkins has gotten the push ahead of him only because he is a forward and does flashy stuff - most of which won't translate to the NHL anyways.

Larsson is prob the youngest player in a league that is substantially better than the AHL. If he was in the CHL he'd be scoring 50 points for sure.

Ilya Kovalchuk is flashy too and we saw how that translated into wins with ZPar down and out.
