Clemson's offense is impressive. Sammy Watkins is the most impressive true freshmen WR I've watched in college football. Yes, that includes AJ Green. It's amazing how good this guy is.

Brandon Weeden just threw a pick trying to force the ball to Justin Blackmon in the redzone. Defender made a great play, though.

LSU is without their best defensive player and best offensive player today against Auburn.

I've been getting the idea that Justin Blackmon is a more athletic Michael Crabtree. From a size (height, weight, arm length?) standpoint they're clones and their running styles YAC are similar in the way that they're both shifty (in a big man kind of way) and the way they hold the ball away from their body.

Have yet to watch a Clemson game, but from the stats and highlights I've seen the intial impression he's given me is that he's the next Torrey Smith(not really a good thing). Nebraska's true freshman WR Jamal Turner I have higher (probably unwarranted) hopes for if we're comparing them as NFL prospects.

Finally, Dennis Johnson is showing he's truly back from that intestinal injury.

Actually Watkins reminds me of Crabtree with the way he moves. Like if you mixed Crabtree with Julio Jones.

They're the same size, but I don't think Blackmon moves like Crabtree. Blackmon makes me think of Roddy White.

Watkins is so much quicker, faster, and more explosive than Crabtree it's not even funny.

They have an uncanny similarity in the way they move, but no arguments there. He's a lot more fluid too. Like Crabtree on roids.

Ryan Tannehill struggling so far in the first Q against Iowa St. 4 of 9 for 22 yards. A&M down by 4.

I think he meant in a fast forward kind of way

But actually when after youtubing Watkins he looks a whole like Teddy Ginn jr; just look at those long strides and high knees. I still wonder how he battles for the battle in traffic.

Barkevious Mingo LSU with 2 sacks today. Both times untouched by a blocker. The LT tried to get over to block him, but Mingo just blew by him. That's embarassing.

...a little delayed reaction, but I couldn't get on earlier.

Sammy is a freaking beast. Not just being a homer, that kid has sold me. We have another receiver, Deandre "Nuke" Hopkins that is also a freak. Can't wait to see how good these guys get, although I don't know how it gets much better than it is now. And to top it off Sammy is a "good" guy. A real team player.

I can't believe Dooley burned Worley's red shirt at this stage in the season. But then again, I'm hoping that I have seen the last if Simms! GBO!

2 ugly weeks in a row for Big Orange Country. Oh well, it wasn't really unexpected and they hung in both games for a half. Something to build on.

I'll put it this way, I didn't even bother DVRn the game today. I refuse to watch our team with that sack of shit Simms as our QB.

Of all the MSU watching I do, this is the game I don't watch in it's entirety?

I was surprised how long we hung on! As Mem said, something to build on. I was mentally prepared for a 2-3 year rebuilding project under Dooley but as a fan, I want success NOW :) Oh well... just gotta give the boys some time to grow up, get healthy, and have the coaches keep doing the good work they are on the recruiting trail.

I was not looking forward to the South Carolina game but now with Worley having burned his RS I wonder if he will get the start. Probably not likely, but if it does happen, so,etching to look forward to.

BTW Mem - how was your trip to Knoxville? Hope your friend Jack made up for the lackluster display on the field. ;)

I have watched every single Clemson game and Watkins is the real deal. He's got long arms, is fast as hell and has the best hands I have seen from a freshman. He doesn't drop anything. Hopkins is also real good and will go up and get it, and Allen at tight end is a real receiving threat. There are also two other freshmen that have made contributions this year. They have the best receiving corps in college football imo. There running backs aren't too shabby either. Real tough to stop.

I am 1Z, you need to watch Watkins before making any generalizations. He has a workman like attitude, blocks like a maniac and runs all routes fluidly. He's super explosive, and not just for long balls. I've seen him run out patterns perfectly and it looks like his hands are made of stick-em. This guy will probably be a top 10 pick when he is eligible in two years.

Yeah, I did the same though not so much consciously. I didn't worry about the DVR and tuned in for the 2nd quarter..couldn't take it anymore after they went up by 3 touches.

Ended up being a combo of Crown before and then Jack after kick-off. It didn't hurt so bad since I expected the loss. We hung in for a little and I had great seats. It was funny how little everything had changed, I felt like I had never left K-town. Tailgating was sweet and the weather was perfect. Overall, it was a fun trip back; hopefully the next one is for a win. :)

Or you could just skip over my opinion. I made it very clear that I still don't have a good scope on Watkins.
