It was encouraging to actually win a game 2-1. Those 10-7 wins are fun but don't give you a good feeling because of the pitching aspect of it. Great work by Yu and then Bush and Dyson giving up his customary garbage ground ball base hit.

But it would take an absolutely epic collapse on our part, and an equally epic hot streak - like winning 21 outta 23 - for us to lose.

However, I'm honestly concerned with what I'm seeing with us and going into the playoffs.

I wanna win the division by 20 games. HAHA! Bigger lead we get the more work in lower level situations we can get for our struggling BP guys or resting a guy like Desmond some down the stretch. You can never have too big of a lead in the division IMO. Plus I think Luhnow is crying a bit more the further the Stros slip in the standings and that makes me happy

Fun non-Rangers related fact: The Arizona Diamondbacks have now used 26 different players (pitchers + hitters) in tonight's game and it isn't even over yet. They are currently on pitcher #12 of the night. The box score is hilarious-looking.

September baseball. And ridiculous management will force the hand of the MLB and owners to restrict that madness. Just think you are a pennant chasing or defending team and every game counts. Then some non entity team going nowhere throws line up changes like the one last night.
