I was lucky last week (I had to make a trip to the hospital emergency room) and only had to wait 15 minutes. On the flip side, I once had about a 10 hour wait, so you just never know.

When I had my appendix taken out 4 years ago I was in no immediate danger so they sat me in the hall for 10 hours before they found me a room.

I just turned 41 and the day before I tore a flexor tendon playing golf. That too was my reminder.

Almost three weeks later I still have swelling and bruising. No pain though.

Unless you're in a war zone or there's some major tragedy nearby, NO ONE should have to wait 10 hours for medical attention. They'd be examining me in a jail cell if I had to wait that long because I would be pissed off. Glad your son wasn't seriously hurt Biz.

Well.. we all survived.
Final tally was 18 - 3 and 4 yr olds. All hyped up on sugar and adrenaline.
Nobody was left behind. No limbs were lost. Nobody went home with a cast.
Calling it a parental success.

Good thing the floors were padded , or the cast thing would have had a different outcome.
