/I think i mentioned it before when we talked about it on these boards but I had an elementary school teacher in grade 3 who started the day asking us to join her with the lords prayer ... we saw her a couple years later on a field trip feeding pigeons and seagulls at a public market

Not sure what the school systems are like out there but in ON the province funds Catholic school boards and we had to pray three times a day plus after O Canada in the morning we got a bible passage on the PA.

I went to a Catholic school in Alberta from grades 1 to 12, in grades 1 through 6, we started each day with O Canada followed by the Lord's prayer and daily religion class. Likewise, the gov't funded the Catholic schools as well.

I assumed that from the fact a teacher trying to make you say the Our Father was weird lol. Was just wondering if you do in fact have a publicly-funded Catholic school system. I know AB did back in the day (could've changed by now).

lol - There were some functions we attended where we did sing 'God Save the Queen' instead of O Canada.

Yeah my folks went to catholic schools in Calgary.

I was shocked when Quebec abandoned their Catholic school system before us.

In high school we just started sneaking off and getting high behind the arena next door.

Catholic school was the best. I'd just skip the mass we had on occasion and go to the gym. More gym time is always a benefit.
