And no, I am not against unemployment by any means, turd. I am against people living off of it. It should be more strict. You should truly have to show proof that you are out looking for a job, which you have to now, but it is a joke. People should not be picky, which they are. It is the blue collar americans fault for the most part that we are where we are.

Those businesses get shut down because it is cheaper for the owners to pay less to workers in foreign countries. The only reason outsourcing exists is to make more money for the people in charge.

I don't like welfare, nor do I like anyone getting Social Security without paying into it, but unemployment is necessary. So is disability. My hometown is awfully full of able-bodied people who are on welfare because their families have been for generations. They drop out of high school because they know they won't have to work. Their goal in life is to go on welfare. Those people shouldn't get money. But on the opposite side of the same coin are a lot of really hard workers in this town who recently got laid off and can't find a job now. They're barely surviving despite legitimately trying to find work, and being good workers when they had jobs, and that's not right.

It's also not right that my dad struggled to get the Social Security into which he paid for 40+ years when he was forced into early retirement when a disease nearly killed him, nor that during that time my college tuition was more than my parents' combined income and I was approved for $250 in aid from PHEAA and nothing from FAFSA.
