Officially, each side nominates a person, however it is a straight roll call vote and you can put in any name when you are called. The ones he is losing are voting for others like McCarthy, Scalise or McHenry. A few people are even voting for people who aren't even in congress anymore. You have to win a majority of all votes cast, not just a majority of votes. He needs to get 217 votes to get it. There are 212 Democrats and they are 100% Jeffries, so it means once Gym loses 5, he's done. He can't win. Currently sitting on 21 "others"

Conversely, if 4 R's voted Jeffries, he would win.

I certainly don't agree with the taking down of the posters...That said, I also don't agree with the wording of the tweet that seems to imply that anybody that is critical of Israel is an antisemite.

Curious how he's blaming Democrats for this particular failure.

All this dumbass had to do was promise a few important seats to 6 Democrats and he's still speaker. Instead he worked with them to keep the government open and then went on TV and blamed them for the potential of a shut down and they all stepped aside and said "back to hell, demon".
