British Columbia Premier David Eby says he is 'white hot' angry over the day release of a man from a forensic psychiatric hospital before he was arrested for a triple stabbing in Vancouver's Chinatown.

Killed his own daughter in 2006, stabbed someone else (while on day release!) in 2009 and was still somehow day released again and now three more people will live with the trauma and wounds resulting from being stabbed.

For all the “we need more mental health support/treatment etc” arguments it sure does seem like the mental health systems in place (and the people in charge of them) aren’t doing anybody any favours.
