But you let me stay anyway.Howard Dean used to come to this board. We suggested he be more demonstrative.
America confuses me. A year ago GA was the worst place in the country and lost the MLB ASG because of their voting law and this year Biden's proud to send an $8 billion auto plant there?
I am sure to a degree that everyone involved would love to put it anywhere else, but Hyundai is probably liking the dirt cheap land and sizeable supply of workers who are too stupid to complain about low wages and poor working conditions. And Biden likes the idea of being seen as a creator of jobs even if he will never get credit for them.America confuses me. reminds me of those idiots that declared themselves sovereign nations and stopped paying income tax.The QAnon Queen Told Followers They Didn’t Need to Pay Bills. It Didn’t End Well.
The QAnon Queen of Canada told her followers to stop paying their electricity and water bills because she declared them free. But now the utility companies are calling.www.vice.com
lol
Where we go one, we go bankrupt
They can’t shut off all our power…. Right?!The QAnon Queen Told Followers They Didn’t Need to Pay Bills. It Didn’t End Well.

Could overload the grid I suppose...They can’t shut off all our power…. Right?!
At least your idiots didn't seize federal land and kidnap federal workers and still have the audacity to say their rights were being infringed onreminds me of those idiots that declared themselves sovereign nations and stopped paying income tax.
CRA was not amused.

GA. Outside of Atlanta and Savannah is Kentucky.America confuses me. A year ago GA was the worst place in the country and lost the MLB ASG because of their voting law and this year Biden's proud to send an $8 billion auto plant there?
Oh I'm well aware of the growth of auto production in the SE. I just find it amusing that absolutely nothing changed regarding GA's laws in the past 12 months and we went from Democrat-led boycotts to the party leader touting his "achievement" of growing the economy of the same state with a shiny new auto plant that, like 43 said, won't pay much and I assume will be non-union.GA. Outside of Atlanta and Savannah is Kentucky.
GA already has Rivian plant on the way, already has a Kia plant so this is #2, a Porsche plant and SK battery plant. So this is really nothing new for GA.
UAW is one of the biggest ones, doubt there is any way it won't be union.Oh I'm well aware of the growth of auto production in the SE. That was my point this isn’t new and status quo. The boycotts were “averted” because of Stacey Abrams and whatever she did to change everything. <sarcasm>.Oh I'm well aware of the growth of auto production in the SE. Yeah you can’t screw with the UAW. But I know the other KIA plant didn’t have union workers for a long time.UAW is one of the biggest ones, doubt there is any way it won't be union.
But everyone who works there will want every OTHER union busted up.
SOVCITS are some of the worst scum.reminds me of those idiots that declared themselves sovereign nations and stopped paying income tax.

I don't think any of the non-domestic plants are union IIRC. At least not UAW.UAW is one of the biggest ones, doubt there is any way it won't be union.

Interesting. Still fits though. The freedumb lovinglocals will be less likely to unionize, then. Win/win for Hyundai.I don't think any of the non-domestic plants are union IIRC. At least not UAW.
UAW publishes a list of union-made vehicles and nothing from Kia/Toyota/Honda/Mercedes/BMW/etc. with a presence in the south (or elsewhere in North America) is listed.
Some parts plants might be though.
The current Kia plant is on the Alabama border. Really not much competition for work. The Rivian plant will be 45 minutes east of Atlanta, the Porsche plant is near the Atlanta airport so both will have to pay better.Interesting. Still fits though. As hard as it is to get a job at Honda Marysville and how no one ever seems to leave there, I just assumed they were union. And not just the production workers. Their IT and Security staff NEVER leave. I guess they just treat their people well.
