I don’t know why he apologized for this. These things were pretty common fundraising events back then - girls would “buy” a guy and he’d like clean their floors for a day or do their laundry or some shit.

Yeah in hindsight calling them “slave auctions” or “slave for a day” was kinda weird but this is such a stretch. Proceeds went to children’s charities ffs lol

I wonder how Marsha feels about people forcefully and violently breaking into a government building and threatening the lives of everyone inside to try and overturn a democratic election?

Also lol newsmax. What violence? Did someone step on one of Drunky McDrunkface's garden gnomes?

How many terrorists acts including bombings, arsons etc. have been conducted at abortion clinics over the last 50 years? I think I read it is in the thousands. These protests in Chevy Chase have been peaceful thus far. Also, this tweet sums it up...

I don't agree on arresting them if they quietly disassemble, but this whole "we're going to protest at your house" thing is out of control and just one more step towards violence. We've seen both sides do it and it's bullshit. Someone doing their job in a way you disagree with you should allow you to protest their workplace or public building in an organized and non-violent manner. But the Supreme Court Justices, public officials, etc. don't deserve this. Their spouses and kids don't deserve to be scared because someone is trying to do their job. Their neighbors shouldn't have to deal with this.

So while I agree Roe v. Wade should not be overturned as it is both long standing precedent and strongly supported by more than twice as many people who oppose it, let me be clear... THESE PROTESTORS ARE PIECES OF SHIT!!!

The fucking temperature in the room needs to come down.

I don't think I would ever do it but I kind of understand where the protesters are coming from. The elites are taking (it appears) rights away from the masses.

Will this work? I don't know. Will voting? I honestly don't know.

I sure understand where theyre coming from. Scotus struck down the abortion clinic buffer zone law years ago because it infringed on the first amendment free speech rights fuckfaces rights to scream obscenities at women who made the desperate decision to have an abortion. Now the free speech is wrong? Ironic quote:

I say they deserve a taste of their own medicine. What’s happening in front of their homes is free speech. They should be proud lol

Later that same day, Mr. Claire observed another woman who was scrawling the words 'Sand and then the N-word,' in chalk in front of his house and in his driveway," Aakre said. "He called the police, again, to report the second incident. One deputy who responded to the chalking incident used his own water bottle in an attempt to wash away the evidence before taking photos for the office and another advised him not to drive on his own street to avoid any confrontation."

Somewhere in whatever town that is, there is a social worker or mental health professional who could have saved the situation. If only they'd sent them instead of Shooty McBangbang.

We had a very similar situation in New Brunswick about six months ago where the RCMP were doing a mental health call on someone, but there was no mental health person accompanying the police to offer any help in deescalating the situation. The person who was in distress grabbed a knife and the police shot her dead. Of course, I think now they're making changes to these types of calls to try to avoid anybody having to be shot dead in the future.

That's what the "Defund the Police" movement is about - putting the proper professionals in the proper situations. Take some of the money that police depts use to buy armored vehicles and use it to hire and assign medical and mental health professionals to go on certain calls.

But they used the word defund and much like the mouth breathers who think "it snowed, where is global warming" is biting commentary, the true meaning and idea is tuned out.
