When I used to drive to NJ from TO I would love taking the 20A through Warsaw and I-290 in the summer/fall. Much more scenic than the Thruway.

The number of pro-gun lawn signs that started becoming mainstays around 2015 onward in those small towns was pretty alarming. It was easily every second driveway in some parts.
