W series was started to give women in motorsport a place to race and to promote equality and support women's issues.

Their newest team owner:
- Killed a woman while texting and driving
- Is transgendered and has fought against transgendered rights
- Actively supports politicians who don't think transgendered and gay people are people. And barely think women are.
- Supports Texas' legislation taking bodily autonomy away from women
