Some possible hope for NC, our new districts were declared unconstitutional for the *checks notes, realizes I can't count that high*... Again.

This time they tried to gerrymander through a set of maps that would have given an 11-3 advantage in the House to a state that went 50-49 Repub in the presidential election and 52-47 Dem in the gubernatorial election (which is to say, possibly the most purple state out there right now).

Would have also had a very good chance of producing veto-proof majorities in both state houses.

Canada - Dystopian authoritarian country that's taking rights and freedoms from its citizens

Also Canada - People flocking here at twice the pace of other G7 countries.
**people being allowed in here at twice the pace of other G7 countries. The UK has basically sealed itself off, the US hasn’t moved up much from Trump era lows of legal immigration, Japan is probably the most anti-immigrant country on earth, and Germany/Italy/France/US all see much more illegal immigration than Canada to add to their legal numbers.

And the growth in the Maritimes is a direct result of housing unaffordability in Toronto and Vancouver which is still the landing spot of a majority of newcomers, meaning we’re just exacerbating the issue.

Immigration is a good thing if we actually have policies in place to handle it and ensure we aren’t increasing already insane pressures on our housing. We’re doing a shit job of that.

Why would the protestors from Alberta want to hunker down for the long term if Alberta is doing away with most of the restrictions? Could it be that there are ulterior motives :hmm:

You can also pass a doobie around and discuss this without fear of going to jail, thanks to our evil dictator.
