Last week it was every Democratic politician in CA taking a maskless photo with the world’s most famous immuno-compromised athlete in a mask-mandatory stadium. This week it’s “the woman who delivered GA to Biden” and their gubernatorial candidate with a bunch of unmasked pictures in a class full of masked kids.

If these people really don’t believe this shit please just give it the fuck up because this just looks so fucking stupid and her campaign’s response to the criticism doesn’t help at all.

The response was silly and should have just gave some simple BS vs that response.
In turn, they have every right to fight with fire as does her opponents do all the time. I fully expect she is ready for the backlash.

But still this is typical political (or even conspiracy theory wingnuts) posturing trying to prove one side right vs another due to one action.

It really used to be Republicans doing things that the other side could point to as “see, they don’t practice what they preach”.

It’s increasingly become an even playing field and the difference is the other side are much better at pointing out the hypocrisy and feeding it to their base and the “undecideds” and tend to make it stick.

Just don’t get why they would let this happen, the optics are awful.

Totally!

And to truly think there is this large base of undecided voters, yeah that isn't happening anymore. You can literally tell when someone starts to talk which way they are voting.

It's really become much more about turning out vote. Thing with Abrams, she needs black voters to show up for her. Bad. And while she lives in a state that has a pretty low vaccination rate as it is, the rate among blacks is 2% lower than whites. Covid-scepticism within the black community is pretty high. Kemp will make her choose a message on the pandemic and stick with it. She had best have her shit together.

Yep having to rely on that in GA is bad since it is, at the state level, deep Republican controlled.

This is the busiest crossing in North America as far as goods movement goes.

Aren't these the same guys who are saying we need to end the mandates because there's a supply chain issue? Blocking the busiest crossing in North America is quite the 4D chess move.

Let me add to this for folks that might think otherwise about GA not being deep republican.
Just look at Gwinnett County. It is second-largest county in GA and growing and is almost as blue as Fulton County.

Unfortunately at the state level these items are happening because of the Republican control (NOTE: they are doing this in Gwinnett vs Fulton because they still have a stronger Republican base there).

1. Gerrymandered the Federal Congressional Districts so that McBath and Bordeaux are in the same district. Also took the top corner of the county and put it in Andrew Clyde's district. Essentially eliminating thousands of democratic votes.
2. A republican state congressman (Clint Dixon) to put items out there that will get approved:
First: redistricting Gwinnett Counties Council so that it would have Nine gerrymandered districts instead of five. Essentially making it republican controlled even though they represent less than 50% of the citizens.
Second: Removing party affiliation from the School Board elected officials in Gwinnett County. In theory sounds great, but his motive is taking away the democratic control.

It's machine-entrenched there, just like TX and NC and other purplish states. It'll take a good decade or two more for things to become freer (and hopefully remain that way).

Of course, Democrats are starting to get back into the ol' Tammany way of doing things as well.

Politics is now sports. Loyalty to team is all that matters.
Yep spend more time pointing out how shitty the other team is even when your shitty team has the same skeletons.

Idk … i feel both-sidesism isnt appropriate here. One side seems to be more obviously shite than the other in both quality and quantity of hypocrisy :noidea:

Mind you i dont frequent websites like the post millenial or spend the day on facebook lapping up disinfo :noidea:

Hence why we know both sides are shit in their own ways by not going to the extreme sites.

The problem is one side is just in your face shit. The other tries to toe a line and then the problem is when they screw up the optics look worse.
