But kudos to the kids for keeping their heads and paying attention in the midst of it. Whoever was at the door saying they weren't going to risk it saved a lot of lives in that room.
Totally. And we all know they had crisis training for this at school and enacted on it calmly and perfectly.

My kids have training for this exact scenario.
And on the other hand you can be trained like this to defuse a situation is to shoot first and ask questions later:
NOTE: I am referring to around the 2:50 mark.

Addtional items of note:
-Only 1 of 7 of these trainees thought that it was a good idea to shoot first and not try to defuse the situation. He was the one not wearing the mask properly.
-The trainer calls the person a "mental subject" so essentially dehumanizing the person.
-Officer safety is more important than the people they are supposed to protect.

This is true with any job though. Personal safety is supposed to take precedence over everything.

Of course, hearing the blue line people say it the police are completely benevolent in how often they all individually risk their lives on a daily basis to keep us safe and uphold law and order you may become a little confused but...

This is why developers are looked with disgust despite the fact new housing is so badly needed.

Toronto risks deterring housing and other projects if development costs continue to rise, said BILD CEO Dave Wilkes. He mentioned the inclusionary zoning provisions passed by city council last month that will require developers to pay for affordable housing units in some areas.

Wilkes said he fears that, “Capital might flee to other areas of the region, but more importantly, capital will flee to other areas of North America where it’s not as costly to undertake development.

“Municipal fees and charges are by far the largest component of the government-imposed taxes and fees that make up 22 to 24 per cent of the cost of a new home,” he said.

Yeah, you guys can't keep up with demand for units but "capital might flee" because the region is making you pay to cover the costs of replacing infrastructure that your units need in order to function lol.

Totally and understand they need to be safe to protect others. The real issue this goes into is the point above that they are beaten down so bad, as shown in that video, that they are essentially trained to shoot first without caring about the person at risk. Basically it is the whole NRA mantra....perceived good guy with a gun vs perceived bad buy with a gun.

Saw this earlier and there it is:

I bet anything she has on a website, grift donation sites or apps has use of a QR code.

IT'S JUST A PRANK BRO
Seriously I like how they make him out like some good person: a retired major in the national guard and a sheriffs deputy. On top of letting him out on bond!
Other items is being a gun store owner how do you mistake the gun, have a loaded gun that easily accessible in your store and fire it at a person?

Oh that’s right he is a good guy with a gun.
