But kudos to the kids for keeping their heads and paying attention in the midst of it. Whoever was at the door saying they weren't going to risk it saved a lot of lives in that room. This is sad...
Totally. And we all know they had crisis training for this at school and enacted on it calmly and perfectly. But kudos to the kids for keeping their heads and paying attention in the midst of it. Whoever was at the door saying they weren't going to risk it saved a lot of lives in that room.
My kids have training for this exact scenario.Totally. And we all know they had crisis training for this at school and enacted on it calmly and perfectly.
And on the other hand you can be trained like this to defuse a situation is to shoot first and ask questions later:My kids have training for this exact scenario.
This is true with any job though. Personal safety is supposed to take precedence over everything.-Officer safety is more important than the people they are supposed to protect.
Totally and understand they need to be safe to protect others. The real issue this goes into is the point above that they are beaten down so bad, as shown in that video, that they are essentially trained to shoot first without caring about the person at risk. Basically it is the whole NRA mantra....perceived good guy with a gun vs perceived bad buy with a gun. This is true with any job though. Personal safety is supposed to take precedence over everything.
Of course, hearing the blue line people say it the police are completely benevolent in how often they all individually risk their lives on a daily basis to keep us safe and uphold law and order you may become a little confused but...
