I agree with the sentiment that Colin Powell was generally trying to do the right thing - That was a difficult task with the likes of Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Cheney in his midst.

I agree with the sentiment that Colin Powell was generally trying to do the right thing - That was a difficult task with the likes of Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Cheney in his midst.

He still advocated for the war long after leaving the State Dept. The whole "Powell as the nobleman in the Bush Admin." narrative is tiresome. He's as culpable for everything that led to the war as everybody else in the admin, even if he wasn't a Neocon nutjob.

He also helped cover up the My Lai Massacre.

He's as good or as bad as any of them are/were.
