Very much looking forward to the Republicans harping on the dozen Americans and scores of Afghans killed by suicide bombers yesterday as proof that Joe Biden is evil/incompetent/etc., while voicing no such moral judgment to the 3,000 American soldiers, 2,000 American civilians, and 50-100K Afghans killed in this war over the last 20 years.

Biden has done a lousy job with the withdrawl, Trump's deal to set all this up was fucking awful, Obama did nothing, and Bush got us in there (in a war approved with bipartisan unanimity). This isn't a partistan failure, it's an American one.

We never were. As the push for more tolerance became more prevalent, the intolerant have pushed back. They've always been there, now they've just bubbled to the surface, like sewer gas.

It's going to be a heck of a dogfight, I think Nova Scotia going PC sent a strong message that people are fed up with the Libs. That said, Ontario will likely determine who wins and loses.

Any dent in the Maritimes is going to hurt Justin, especially because those votes will only go blue.

Figure O'Toole will get Durham back on his side pretty easily, Halton shouldn't be too hard either, but getting the majority of Mississauga/Brampton back on their side is going to be tougher and there's 11 seats there that will go red if he can't get them to go blue.

Even if things don't go well for O'Toole in Ontario he can still come up with a minority gov't if the NDP eats enough Liberal seats in the 416, Ottawa and Vancouver.

There is no better way to get people on your side than to fuck with their drive especially in a place where traffic sucks on a good day.

I see people who are almost giddy at the 9/11 anniversary coming up. Like nearing Patriot-gasms. We're probably only a few years off from people saying "Happy 9/11".

Facebook did to our parents what they thought video games would do to us. Used to be every town had a crazy person. But they never knew about any of the other crazy people. Now they realize there are gobs of nutballs and it almost helps them justify their own insanity instead of scaring them.

I wonder if the people that were inventing the Internet would have felt if they knew one of the ultimate lasting impacts of their invention would be idiots convincing other idiots to take livestock meds to treat a respiratory virus when a vaccine was available.
