I don't get the endgame here with this sudden push to paint Republicans as anti-police funding. Republicans would literally outfit every police force with tanks if they could and few people out there believe otherwise.

Meanwhile, are the Democrats now going to go all out to get more funding to police? How's that going to work when half their caucus wants to lower funding and a quarter outright want to eliminate them outright? Why open this can of worms for absolutely no political gain?

It seems like once a month there’s a story about a shitty person in a position of authority in the Canadian Forces doing something bad and very little consequences following and then a report comes out about how awful military life is. Harjit Sajjan has been Defence Minister for the entirety of Trudeau’s government and this shit keeps happening. Isn’t it probably time for someone new?

He and Wolfowitz are almost entirely responsible for everything that happened in Iraq, from trying to tie it into 9/11 to the shitty occupation plans to pulling troops out of Afghanistan too soon to not being able to control the insurgency. If Bush had literally anybody else as Defense Secretary at that time the world would probably be a very different place today.
