To be fair, at 11am this morning I won a martini making contest against the ship's doctor.

So the day is young if I run into mr maga again
I did a martini tasting contest on my last cruise. A Belarusian bartender made 10 small size martinis and gave us a placemat describing each and we had to figure out which was which. At the end she made us a full size of our favorite. It was a lot of fun and I was half in the bag by about 6:30 pm.
Of course that was a cruise a bunch of people in my family went on, so my mother was super impressed with my wife and me.

Looks like Australia followed Canada's lead and dumped their Temu Trump candidate who was leading in the polls until very recently and decided to go with the Labour party guy. G'day mates!!
Trump: saving democracy, one (other) country at a time.

Just a reminder that when I moved out to the island in 2008, I looked at houses in Victoria, but they were already pretty expensive which is why I moved to the other side of the Malahat in the Cowichan Valley. I seem to recall that it was the Conservatives that were in power at the time and they stayed in power for another 7 years.

Planning my summer vacations.
In June, attending the Casper Wyoming Book Festival (book as in singular)
Late June I head to West Virginia for the Clean Coal Sadie Hawkins Dance. Fingers crossed I get asked this year. I have a t-shirt what says "Mountain State" with an arrow pointing down, hopefully that works and a classy broad asks me to go.
July I need to be in OK for the fourth of July and the Taco In A Bag Festival.
In August I head to Sturgis SD for the annual festival, like I do most years. A time to relax and reminisce. (Thats where I got Delta, Omicron, and scabies)
And I wrap up Vacay (do people still say that?) season in September for Alabama's Labor Day Festival honoring all the hard work white plantation owners did in establishing this country.
God bless America, everyone.

I am surprised to see Michigan and Ohio roughly the same color. Now I am left to wonder if the people of Ohio are waking up and souring on him (with all the jobs and money he's cost us) or if Michigan is starting to embrace him.

Also, well done Maryland. But I bet their survey didn't ask anyone west of Hagerstown.
