i think we are in a similar situation as the states were on this election cycle.
it honestly doesn't matter who is liberal leader. just shut down the conservatives above all.

i would vote for a lake-rescued algae-covered yellow top-flite golf ball over peter (don't call me jeff) pollievier.

is Carney the perfect candidate? of course not.
but going into a time where our economy is being threatened, I'm pretty good with having one of the world's top economists taking the reins.
once again, voting defensively.... whoever has the best shot at keeping the timbit trump out.

The other big thing is that all that PP seems to know how to do is attack and say how Canada is broken - However, Canada is already under attack from Donald Trump and in my opinion Canadians are looking for a steady hand at the wheel and not for someone who is looking to tear down government and do great harm to the social safety net in Canada.

Can PP pivot and change his messaging? I don't know if he can and it certainly seems to be costing him if we can trust the polls.

How it started:

How it ended:
https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/27/busi...-run-board-ousts-ceo-it-department/index.html

In 2021, the board voted to censure Bob over controversial remarks questioning the legitimacy of the November 2020 election. He was no longer allowed to speak to the media without the board’s permission, a source told CNN in 2021.

Bob Unanue praised Trump in his first term, saying, “We are all truly blessed… to have a leader like President Trump who is a builder. We have an incredible builder, and we pray. We pray for our leadership, our president.”

Those comments spread like wildfire online, leading social media users to call for a boycott of the company.

Bob spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2024 in support of Trump, saying “four years ago, I dared to say that we were blessed by Donald J. Trump… got into trouble for that.”
^^That's only a small part of it.

Truly everything tRump touchs turns to shit

A lot of people seem very mad at Keir Starmer for not “sticking up for Canada” to Trump or in a Fox News interview later on.

1) The UK doesn’t give a flying fuck about Canada compared to the US. Whoever is in charge there would gladly hand us over if it made the US happy at any given time.

2) The PM of the UK doesn’t speak for the King so don’t get mad at Starmer for not backing one of the King’s realms.

3) The king has been quiet on the entire ordeal and yeah that’s something to be a little upset about. If this whole thing winds up in Canada becoming a republic it would be pretty funny.

Everything "released" was already known. Literally nothing at all new.
