Yeah, that's not a good situation to find yourself in and I know there are young people facing these difficult obstacles through no fault of their own. Both of my daughters worked part-time jobs through high school prior to post-secondary education, but my wife and I also maxed out their RESPs in order for them to avoid having high student loans debts to pay back. Even with the RESP's, my youngest daughter did take out a small loan to cover her final year of studies. It's not easy for young people out there, I know.

I have two college aged cousins at Western and Waterloo right now, both did likewise and worked throughout HS. There’s absolutely nothing available for them part time in those towns during the year.

Just not something people my age had an issue with at all back in the 2000s and we were making jack shit in those part time jobs back then (I think minimum wage was still $8 in Ontario at that time).

To answer the question of why American Media can't do this to Trump:

They booted the AP for not calling it "Gulf of America". No one with a brain is going to get close enough to ask even one question let alone have them captive to eviscerate them like she did to that guy.

An to piggyback on that... when he refuses to answer questions or insults professional journalists doing their job (which would have tanked approval decades ago), his supporters do not hold him accountable because for decades they've been poisoned enough in their echo chamber to think that real journalists always have a political agenda while excusing away the obvious political agenda of people who are nothing close to a real journalists.
