My dad (RIP) had emergency heart surgery on the night of the 2016 US election - Although he lived for two more weeks after that night, he wasn't really with it and I believe had no knowledge that Trump won the election. To be honest, I am very relieved that he hasn't been around all these years as I'm quite sure it would have driven him into an early grave.

Today, I envision him with a pretty big smile on his face.

lol my father went the other way. After liking Clinton and Obama and making fun of Trump during his first few pseudo presidential runs, some nonsense about Hillary and the Chinese or Russians stuck with him and he voted for Trump. He was not all together with it, the last year of his life. Probably the case with a lot of Trump voters.
